Care FAM is so happy and proud to present the account of someone like Ameena, she truly is a beacon of hope for so many. Her suggestion is valued, in fact, Care community was thinking of doing more visual content. We thank applaud and welcome her to this community. I am sure, others too would join her and spread positivism and love in this world.
Who are you? Given where you are today, what was the most challenging experience you have had so far and how have you changed the situation around? (If you have struggled with mental health, please do share, so that someone like you could be inspired).
I’m Ameena Thul Mumtaz from Chennai, India. I have my page on Instagram (@_amateur.blogger_) which mainly advocates mental health and aims to spread positivity to the audience. I am an aspiring motivational speaker / to be a psychologist who has been doing and going to events that promote positivity in any form. I’ve been helping people deal with their life issues ( mental exhaustion, emotional numbness and so) which needs guidance and help from the other end. I’ve always considered mental health to be the most essential thing as I’ve seen people around me ( my family members) go through it. Whenever you go through a breakdown, I just want y’all to remember that YOU ARE A BORN WARRIOR and you can fight that out.
Your mental health journey and how much has it impacted you in your life choices and decisions?
Mental health means everything to me and I will always stand up for the cause of it. My mental health journey has been really stable for a long time now as I’ve come to terms with how to handle it. But talking about a time when I wasn’t doing good - I was a kid when I realized my father wasn’t the hero of the family but otherwise. He has always treated my mother in a way she shouldn’t have been treated. Back in the past, not knowing his true colours I did love him but once the truth came before my eyes, I couldn’t see it all going down in front of my eyes. That really did have an impact on my mental health! But I just want y’all to know, acceptance is the key. You accept the truth and you move on. It definitely wasn’t easy but today here I am educating people on how to overcome their hurdles in life - so it’s not impossible.
Your tips and guidance for anyone reading this
You might be going through a lot but I always want you to remember that /you are not alone in this phase/ / learn not to be too hard on yourself/ / sometimes, you do deserve a break/ / you are a born warrior/ / it’s just a temporary phase in life/ / it’s okay to not be okay/ / THERE IS A HEAVEN AFTER THIS HELL/
Your views matter, what do you feel could be added to make the participants of the project(care family) stronger? #becausewecare
I think video clips would reach more people than them reading it.
Would you recommend the project to others?
