Care Star Simra (Law Graduate, Blogger and more shares her view on Mental Health)

Care FAM is so happy and proud to have Simra become a part of the project. Loss of her uncle is regrettable. However, how she turned her life around and made it big in London is commendable. I have no doubts so many would be inspired by her journey and never stop dreaming and dreams can become a reality and we can achieve whatever we want with hard work and motivation.

Who are you? Given where you are today, what was the most challenging experience you have had so far and how have you changed the situation around? (If you have struggled with mental health, please do share, so that someone like you could be inspired).

I’m a law graduate and moved from a small city to London in the same year my Uncle has passed away. This resulted in me having to deal with the grief and rigour of a university of London degree. However, now I feel so accomplished as I graduated with a 2.1 something I didn’t believe I was going to achieve!

Your mental health journey and how much has it impacted you in your life choices and decisions?

I’ve always been anxious and I’ve learnt to always change my mindset to focus on things I can control rather than things I cannot control.

Your tips and guidance for anyone reading this

Always be mindful about what you consume whether that’s physically, emotionally or spiritually.
